Hey all,

Air Hockey NYC’s second-ever match will take place on Monday, May 5th at 8PM at Manitoba’s. Since it’ll be Cinco De Mayo, we’ll be celebrating with chips, salsa, tequila, and cervezas. We had a great crowd last time, and are looking forward to another exciting night of air hockey fun and amazement.

A few announcements :

1) By popular request, we’ve decided to have air hockey twice a month! Whoooohoooo! Hopefully, this isn’t more air hockey than y’all can handle. The first match will always be on the first Monday of the month. This will be “Ameteur Night,” for those of us who have minimal (like myself) to average air hockey skills. The second match will always be on the second-to-last Wednesday of the month. This will be “Open Competition Night,” where people of all skill levels may compete with each other.

2) There will be t-shirts! Send in your designs if you have them.

3) Tell you friends about Air Hockey NYC! The more airhockeyists the better!

Hey all,

So, last Monday, Air Hockey NYC had its first match, which turned out even better than I thought it would. 12 people showed up for the event, and we played many exciting, fast-paced games of air hockey. Some elected to play with a single puck, while others decided to give multi-puck play a go. We found Manitoba’s to be a comfortable and welcoming environment, and very conducive to air hockey excellence. It was a good time for all involved, and I thank everybody for coming out.

Now, some orders of business to attend to :

1) It was suggested that we meet twice a month instead of once a month. I’m totally open to this idea. What do you all think? Would you be available to play air hockey twice a month?

2) Some proposed that we meet on a day other than Monday. I’m not particularly attached to Mondays, but I picked that day because I figured the bar would be empty and they wouldn’t mind us taking over their game room. I think that Tuesday or Wednesday would also work. What do you guys think?

3) I’m thinking of making t-shirts. If I did make them, I’d be selling them at cost, as I’m not interested in turning a profit or anything like that. If I made t-shirts, would you buy one?

How does this work for everybody?

Hey all,

Air Hockey NYC is proud to be New York’s first and only air hockey league.  We shall get together once a month to enjoy the satisfaction and life-enrichment that only air hockey can provide.

I figure that once we get together, we can figure out how we’re going to do things. Right now, I’m thinking that tournament play could be fun.
